Philip Sherman was baptized on 5 February 1609/10 in Dedham, Essex, England.2 He was the son of Samuel Sherman and Phillippa Ward.2 Philip Sherman married Sarah Odding, daughter of George Odding and Margaret Lang, about 1633 in Roxbury, (now Suffolk County), Massachusetts Bay Colony.2 Philip Sherman died before 19 March 1686/87 in Portsmouth, Newport County, Rhode Island.2 His estate was probated on 22 March 1686/87.2
