Regarding Lahmi (?) (1 Chron 20): 2 Samuel names him Goliath, 1 Chronicles in describing the apparently same event calls him Lahmi, brother of Goliath (1 Sam 17). I am presuming that 1 Chronicles is correct and that 2 Samuel has an error where some words were dropped. I would expect that if he was named Goliath, something would have been done to distinguish this person from the Goliath that David killed much earlier.24,25
