Jane Underhill was born on 23 November 1801 in New York City, New York.3,4 She was the daughter of Joshua Underhill and Mary Sutton.3 Jane Underhill married John L. Ferris, son of Elijah Ferris and Phebe (?), on 8 June 1825 in New York City, New York.2,4 Jane Underhill died on 4 August 1877 at the home of Augusta F. Cox, Portland, Maine, at age 75.4
Mrs Jane (Underhill) Ferris and John L. Ferris lived in Greenwich Street, New York City, New York.4 Jane Underhill became the mother of Anna Haviland Ferris on 6 April 1827.5 Jane Underhill lived in Throgg's Neck, Westchester County, New York.4 She with Joshua Underhill were disowned at New York Monthy Meeting (Hicksite) in 1829.3 Jane Underhill became the mother of John H.
