Mary Wood was born on 7 July 1795 in Clinton Town, Duchess County, New York.1,2 She was the daughter of Samuel Wood and Mary U. Searing.2 Mary Wood married Manning L. Seymour, son of Levi Seymour and Huldah (?), on 5 June 1823 at New York Monthy Meeting.2,3 Mary Wood died on 17 May 1878 at age 82.2
She met for worship at at Purchase Monthly Meeting.1 She was Episcopal Church before 1823.2 She had a certificate to Galway at New York Monthy Meeting on 3 December 1823.3 She became the mother of William Wood Seymour on 21 August 1824.2 Mary Wood became a widow with the death of her husband, Manning L.
