     King Philip II Augustus was born on 22 August 1165 in Gonesse, France.1 He was the son of King Louis VII "the Young" (of France) and Adelaide (of Blois).1 King Philip II Augustus was christened in Paris, Isle De France.2 He married first Isabella (of Hainault and Flanders), daughter of Count Baldwin V (of Hainault) , VIII of Flanders and Marguerite (of Lorraine), on 28 April 1180 in Bapaume, France.1 King Philip II Augustus died on 14 July 1223 in Mantes, France, at age 57.1 He was buried at St. Denis, France.1
