Edward Hickcox was born in 1863 in New York.2,1 He was the son of (?) Hickcox and Mrs. (?) (?) Hickcox.2 Edward Hickcox married Margaretta VanDerveer, daughter of Tunis VanDerveer and Catherine Wortman, between 1884 and 1887?3
The appearance of Edward Hickcox with the Kleine family in Kansas may indicate a possible family connection. It is otherwise unlikely that he would have traveled halfway across the country to be a farm hand.4 Edward Hickcox became the father of Edward Hickcox about 1888. Edward Hickcox became the father of Adelaide Hickcox on 25 August 1892.
