Sir Allan Napier MacNab was born on 19 February 1798 in Newark (now Niagara-on-the-Lake), Upper Canada (now Ontario).1 He married Mary Stuart, daughter of John Stuart and Sophia Jones, on 29 September 1831. Sir Allan Napier MacNab died on 8 August 1862 at Dundurn Castle, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, at age 64.1 He was buried at Dundurn Castle, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.1
He became the father of Sophia Mary MacNab on 5 July 1832.1 Sir Allan Napier MacNab became a widower with the death of his wife, Mary Stuart on 8 May 1846 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, at age 34.1 Sir Allan Napier MacNab became Prime Miniser of Upper Canada in 1854.1 Allan Napier's daughter was married at wedding of Sophia Mary MacNab and Earl William Coutts Keppel on 15 November 1855 at Dundurn Castle, (now Hamilton), Canada West (now Ontario).
