Grand Duke Karl Friedrich (of Baden) was born on 22 November 1728 in Karlsruhe, Karlsruhe, Baden.2 He was the son of Prince Friedrich (of Baden-Durlach) and Anne Charlotte (?)1 Grand Duke Karl Friedrich (of Baden) married Princess Karoline Luise (of Hesse-Darmstadt), daughter of Landgrave Ludwig VIII (of Hesse-Darmstadt) and Countess Charlotte Christine Magdalene (of Hanau-Lichtenberg), on 28 January 1751 at Residenzschloss, Darmstadt, Starkenburg, Hesse-Darmstadt.2 Grand Duke Karl Friedrich (of Baden) died on 10 June 1811 in Karlsruhe, Karlsruhe, Baden, at age 82.2 He was buried on 24 June 1811 in Pforzheim, Karlsruhe, Baden.2
