     Sophia Dorothea Brunswick, daughter of Duke Georg Wilhelm (of Brunswick Celle) and Elbeonore Desmier D' Olbreuse, was born on 10 September 1666 in Celle, Hannover, Prussia.1 Sophia Dorothea Brunswick was the daughter of Duke Georg Wilhelm (of Brunswick Celle) and Elbeonore Desmier D' Olbreuse.3,1 Sophia Dorothea Brunswick married King George I (of England), son of Prince Ernst Augustus I (of Brunswick) and Sophia (?), on 21 November 1682 in Celle, Hannover, Prussia.1,3 Sophia Dorothea Brunswick and King George I (of England) were divorced in 1692; under Hanoverian Law.3 Sophia Dorothea Brunswick and Philipp Christoff von Königsmark had a relationship.1 Sophia Dorothea Brunswick and King George I (of England) were divorced in 1694.1 Sophia Dorothea Brunswick died on 13 November 1726 at Schloss Ahlden, Hannover, Prussia, at age 60.1 She was buried in Celle, Hannover, Prussia.1
     She became the mother of King George II (of England) on 30 October 1683.1 Sophia Dorothea Brunswick became the mother of Sophia Dorothea of Prussia Hanover on 26 March 1687.1 The marriage of Sophia Dorothea Brunswick and King George I (of England) was annulled on 28 December 1694.1 Sophia Dorothea's son was married at wedding of King George II (of England) and Caroline (?) on 22 August 1705 in Herrenhausen, Hannover, Prussia.1,3 Sophia Dorothea's mother Elbeonore Desmier D' Olbreuse died on 5 February 1722 in Celle, Hannover, Prussia.1
