     Mary U. Searing was born on 12 December 1764 in Oyster Bay, Long Island, New York.1,2,3 She was the daughter of John Searing and Mary Prior.3 Mary U. Searing married Samuel Wood, son of Samuel Wood and Freelove Wright, on 8 August 1782 in Cow Neck, Long Island, New York.1,4 Mary U. Searing died on 19 June 1855 at age 90.5 She is also reported to have died on 14 June 1855 in Oyster Bay, Long Island, New York, at age 90.2
     She met for worship at at Westbury Monthly Meeting, Westbury, New York.6 She met for worship at at Purchase Monthly Meeting.5 She and Samuel Wood were certificate from (with 11 children) at Purchase Monthly Meeting on 5 December 1803.5 Mary U. Searing and Samuel Wood were disowned (by Hicksite) with children at New York Monthy Meeting (Hicksite) in 1829.5
