     Landgrave Friedrich (of Hesse-Cassel-Rumpenheim) was born on 11 September 1747 in Kassel, Hessen-Nassau, Prussia, to, son of Landgrave Friedrich II (of Hesse-Cassel) and Mary Hanover.1 Landgrave Friedrich (of Hesse-Cassel-Rumpenheim) was the son of Landgrave Friedrich II (of Hesse-Cassel) and Mary Hanover.1 Landgrave Friedrich (of Hesse-Cassel-Rumpenheim) was christened on 21 September 1747 in Kassel, Hessen-Nassau, Prussia.1 He married Princess Karoline Polyxene (of Nassau-Usingen), daughter of Prince Karl Wilhelm (of Nassau-Usingen) and Countess Karoline Felizitas (of Leiningen-Dachsburg-Heidesheim), on 2 December 1786 in Biebrich, Hessen-Nassau, Prussia.1 Landgrave Friedrich (of Hesse-Cassel-Rumpenheim) died on 20 May 1837 in Frankfurt Am Main, Hessen-Nassau, Prussia, at age 89.1 He was buried on 23 May 1837 in Rumpenheim, Starkenburg, Hesse-Darmstadt.1
     Friedrich's mother Mary Hanover died on 14 January 1772 in Hanau.1 Friedrich's father Landgrave Friedrich II (of Hesse-Cassel) died on 31 October 1785 at Schloss Weissenstein, Hessen-Nassau, Prussia.1 Landgrave Friedrich (of Hesse-Cassel-Rumpenheim) became the father of William (of Hesse-Cassel) on 24 December 1787.1 Landgrave Friedrich (of Hesse-Cassel-Rumpenheim) became the father of Prince Karl Friedrich (of Hesse-Kassel-Rumpenheim) on 8 March 1789.1 Landgrave Friedrich (of Hesse-Cassel-Rumpenheim) became the father of Prince Friedrich Wilhelm (of Hesse-Kassel-Rumpenheim) on 25 April 1790.1 Landgrave Friedrich (of Hesse-Cassel-Rumpenheim) became the father of Prince Ludwig Karl (of Hesse-Kassel-Rumpenheim) on 12 November 1791.1 Landgrave Friedrich (of Hesse-Cassel-Rumpenheim) became the father of Prince Georg Karl (of Hesse) on 14 January 1793.1 Landgrave Friedrich (of Hesse-Cassel-Rumpenheim) became the father of Princess Luise Karoline Marie Friederike (of Hesse) on 9 April 1794.1 Landgrave Friedrich (of Hesse-Cassel-Rumpenheim) became the father of Princess Marie Wilhelmine Friederike (of Hesse-Darmstadt) on 21 January 1796.1 Landgrave Friedrich (of Hesse-Cassel-Rumpenheim) became the father of Augusta (of Hesse-Cassel) on 25 July 1797.1 Landgrave Friedrich (of Hesse-Cassel-Rumpenheim) became the father of Princess Auguste Wilhelmine Luise (of Hesse-Rumpenheim) on 25 July 1797.1 Friedrich's son Prince Ludwig Karl (of Hesse-Kassel-Rumpenheim) died on 12 May 1800.1 Friedrich's son Prince Karl Friedrich (of Hesse-Kassel-Rumpenheim) died on 10 September 1802.1 Friedrich's son was married at wedding of William (of Hesse-Cassel) and Princess Charlotte (Louise) (of Denmark) in 1810 in Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark.1 Landgrave Friedrich (of Hesse-Cassel-Rumpenheim) became a widower with the death of his wife, Princess Karoline Polyxene (of Nassau-Usingen) on 17 August 1823 in Rumpenheim, Starkenburg, Hesse-Darmstadt, at age 61.1 Friedrich's daughter was married at wedding of Augusta (of Hesse-Cassel) and Duke Adolphus Hanover of Cambridge circa 1830 at Buckingham House.1
