Herlevin de Conteville was born about 1001.1 He was the son of Jean de Conteville. Herlevin de Conteville married Herleve (?), daughter of Fulbert (of Falais) and Doda (of Falaise), between 1028 and 1030. Herlevin de Conteville died about 1066.1 He was buried in Grestain.1
He became the father of Earl Robert de Mortain after 1040.1
