Count William VIII (?) was born in 1099 in Aquitaine.2,1 He was the son of Count William VII (?) and Countess Philippa (of Toulouse).1 Count William VIII (?) married first Eleanore de Châtellerault, daughter of Viscount Aimeri I (of Chatellerault) and Dangereuse (aka) Maubergeonne De L' Isle Bouchard, in 1121.1 Count William VIII (?) married second Emma de Limoges, daughter of Count Aymer III (?).1 Count William VIII (?) died on 9 April 1137 in Galicia on a pilgrimage to St Iago de Compostela.1 He is also reported to have died on 19 April 1137 in France.2
