Count Theobald III of Briey was born on 13 January 1179 in Troyes.1 He was the son of Count Henry I "the Generous" of Champagne and Brie and Princess Marie of France.1 Count Theobald III of Briey married Princess Blanche of Navarre, daughter of TODO, on 1 July 1199 at Chartres. Count Theobald III of Briey died on 24 May 1201 at age 22.1
