Duke Waleran IV of Monschou was the son of Duke Henry III "the Old" of Limburg and Sophia von Saarbruken.1 Duke Waleran IV of Monschou married second Ermesinde of Namur, daughter of Count Henry "the Blind" of Luxemburg and Namur and Agnes (?), in May 1214. Duke Waleran IV of Monschou died on 2 July 1226.1 He was buried in Rolduc.1
He became the father of Count Henry III "the Blond" (of Luxemburg) about 1220.2 Waleran IV's father Duke Henry III "the Old" of Limburg died on 21 June 1221.1
