Count Berthold V of Andechs

Count Berthold V of Andechs was born in 1122/23.¹ He was the son of Count Berthold IV of Andechs and Sophia of Istria.¹ Count Berthold V of Andechs married Hedwig von Formbach-Putten, daughter of Count Eckbert II of Formbach-Putten and Wilibirg von Steirermark.¹ Count Berthold V of Andechs died about 1188.¹
Berthold V's mother Sophia of Istria died on 6 September 1128.¹ Berthold V's father Count Berthold IV of Andechs died on 27 June 1151.¹ Count Berthold V of Andechs became the father of Count Berthold VI of Andechs about 1152.¹ Berthold V's son was married at wedding of Count Berthold VI of Andechs and Agnes von Groitzsch-Rochlitz in 1170.¹ Count Berthold V of Andechs became a widower with the death of his wife, Hedwig von Formbach-Putten on 16 July 1174.¹
