Richard Sprague was born about 1605 in Upway, Dorset, England.1 He was the son of Edward Sprague and Christian (?)1 Richard Sprague married Mary (?), daughter of (?) (?), before 1632.1 Richard Sprague died on 25 November 1668 in Charlestown, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.1
He was a Merchant.1 He immigraterd with Ralph Sprague and William Sprague in 1629 to in Charlestown, (now Suffolk County), Massachusetts Bay Colony.1 Richard Sprague was admitted to the church in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts Bay Colony, Winter 1630/31.1 He was listed a Freeman on 18 May 1631 in Massachusetts Bay Colony.1 He and Mary (?) were founding members of the church in Charlestown, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, on 2 November 1632.1
