King Philip II (of Spain) was born on 21 May 1527 in Valladolid, Spain.² He was the son of Charles V (of Spain) and Princess Izabel (of Portugal).² King Philip II (of Spain) married Queen Mary I Tudor, daughter of King Henry VIII Tudor and Catherine (of Aragon), on 25 July 1554 at Wincester Cathedral, Winchester, Hampshire, England.^2,1 King Philip II (of Spain) married Archduchess Anna Marie (of Austria), daughter of Emperor Maximilian II (of the Holy Roman Empire) and Archduchess Marie (of Austria), in 1570 in Segovia, Segovia, Spain.² King Philip II (of Spain) died on 13 September 1598 in Madrid, Spain, at age 71.² He was buried in Spain.²
