     Prince Edward 'The Black' (of England), son of King Edward III (of England) and Philippa (of Hainault), was born on 15 June 1330 at Palace, Woodstock, Oxfordshire, England.1 Prince Edward 'The Black' (of England) was the son of King Edward III (of England) and Philippa (of Hainault).2 Prince Edward 'The Black' (of England) married Princess Joan 'Fair Maid Of Kent' Plantagenet of Wales, daughter of Prince Edmund 'of Woodstock' (of England) and Margaret Wake, on 10 October 1361 in Old Windsor, Berkshire, England.1,2 Prince Edward 'The Black' (of England) died in 1372.2 He is also reported to have died on 8 June 1376 at Palace, Westminster, Berkshire, England, at age 45.1 He was buried on 29 September 1376 at Cathedral, Canterbury, Kent, England.1
     He became the father of Prince Edward Plantagenet of England on 27 January 1364/65.1 Prince Edward 'The Black' (of England) became the father of King Richard II (of England) on 6 January 1367.1 Edward 'The Black''s mother Philippa (of Hainault) died on 15 August 1369 at Windsor Castle, Berkshire, England.3
