Thomas W. Birdsall was born on 21 May 1824.^1,2 He was the son of William Birdsall and Martha (?)^1,2 Thomas W. Birdsall married Margaret Wood, daughter of John Wood and Sarah Mott, on 13 December 1848 at New York Monthy Meeting.^1,2 Thomas W. Birdsall died on 18 May 1866 at age 41.^1,2 He was buried at Prospect Park, New York City, New York.²

Birdsall became the father of Thomas Henry Birdsall on 8 October 1860.¹ Thomas W.'s son Thomas Henry Birdsall died on 17 November 1861.¹ Thomas W. Birdsall became the father of Mary W. Birdsall on 2 April 1863.¹ Thomas W. Birdsall became the father of Margaret W. Birdsall on 5 September 1865.¹
