Henry Winthrop was born on 10 January 1607/8.1 He was the son of Governor John Winthrop and Mary Forth.1 Henry Winthrop was baptized on 19 January 1607/8 in Groton, England.1 He married Elizabeth Fones on 25 April 1629.2,1 Henry Winthrop died by drowning atempting to swimming a small river on 3 July 1630 at age 22 survived by Elizabeth Fones.2
Henry's mother Mary Forth died in 1615.3
