Joseph Moore was born on 15 December 1759 in Salisbury Twp., Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of James Moore and Elizabeth Dickinson.1 Joseph Moore married Mary Clemson, daughter of Thomas Clemson and Elizabeth Strode, in 1781.1 Joseph Moore died after 1830 in Morgan County, Ohio.1
He became the father of Joseph Dickinson Moore on 21 October 1794.1
