Countess Marita Draskovich von Trakostjan was born on 8 March 1904 in Vienna, Austria.2 She was the daughter of Count Dionys Draskovich von Trakostjan and Princess Julia (of Montenuovo).1 Countess Marita Draskovich von Trakostjan married Albert von Wittelsbach, son of Rupert von Wittelsbach and Duchess Marie Gabriele (?), on 3 September 1930 at the Priory Church, Schloss Berchtesgarden, Bavaria, Germany; This marriage was not in conformity with the laws of the House of Wittelsbach respecting succession to the Bavarian throne. In Consequence, Marita was not properly styled "Hereditary Princess of Bavaria" until May 18, 1949, when Albert's father Rupert recognised the marriage as dynastic for Bavaria.1 Countess Marita Draskovich von Trakostjan died on 10 June 1969 in Wildbad Kreuth, Bavaria, Germany, at age 65 survived by Albert von Wittelsbach.1
Marita's daughter was married at wedding of Marie-Caroline von Wittelsbach and Prince Paul (of Quadt zu Wykradt und Isny) on 1 September 1955 in Berg, Bavaria, Germany.2 Marita's daughter was married at wedding of Marie-Gabrielle von Wittelsbach and Fürst Georg von Waldburg zu Zeil und Trauchburg on 31 August 1957 in Richenhofen, Germany.2 Marita's son Max von Wittelsbach was married to Countess Elizabeth Christina Douglas on 10 January 1967 in Wildbad Kreuth, Bavaria, Germany.2
