Leonard Walter Jerome was born on 3 November 1817 in Pompey, Onondaga County, New York.¹ He was the son of Capt Isaac Jerome and Aurora Murray.¹ Leonard Walter Jerome married Clarissa Hall, daughter of Ambrose Hall and Clarisse Wilcox, on 5 April 1849 in Palmyra, Wayne, New York.¹ Leonard Walter Jerome died on 3 March 1891 in Brighton, England, at age 73.¹ He was buried on 5 August 1891 in Brooklyn, New York.¹
