Prince Georg 'The Mediator' (of Hesse-Darmstadt) was born on 29 September 1632 in Darmstadt, Starkenburg, Hesse-Darmstadt.1 He was the son of Landgrave Georg II (of Hesse-Darmstadt) and Princess Sofie Eleonore (of Saxony).1 Prince Georg 'The Mediator' (of Hesse-Darmstadt) was christened on 28 October 1632 in Darmstadt, Starkenburg, Hesse-Darmstadt.1 He died on 19 July 1676 in Hof Lauterbach Bei Obernburg, Hessen-Nassau, Prussia, at age 43.1 He was buried on 4 September 1676 at Stadtkirche, Darmstadt, Starkenburg, Hesse-Darmstadt.1
