Emperor Maximilian I (of the Holy Roman Empire) was born on 22 March 1459 in Wiener-Neustadt, Niederhosterreich, Austria.1 He was the son of Emperor Friedrich III (of the Holy Roman Empire) and Princess Leonor (of Portugal).1 Emperor Maximilian I (of the Holy Roman Empire) married Princess Marie (of Bourgogne), daughter of Charles 'Le Tbemberaire' De Bourgogne and Princess Isabelle (of Bourbon), on 20 August 1477 in Gand, East Flanders, Belgium.1 Emperor Maximilian I (of the Holy Roman Empire) died on 12 January 1519 in Wels, Oberhosterreich, Austria, at age 59.1 He was buried at St. Georg, Wiener-Neustadt, Niederhosterreich, Austria.1
