Prince Alexander Ludwig Christian Georg (of Hesse) was born on 15 July 1823 in Darmstadt, Starkenburg, Hesse-Darmstadt.1 He was the son of Grand Duke Ludwig II (of Hesse) and Princess Wilhelmine Luise (of Baden).1 Prince Alexander Ludwig Christian Georg (of Hesse) was christened on 21 August 1823 in Darmstadt, Starkenburg, Hesse-Darmstadt.1 He married Julia (of Battenberg), daughter of John Maurice Von Hauke and Sophie de La Fontaine.1 Prince Alexander Ludwig Christian Georg (of Hesse) died on 15 December 1888 in Darmstadt, Starkenburg, Hesse-Darmstadt, at age 65.1 He was buried on 19 December 1888 at Rosenhohe Mausoleum Bei Darmstadt, Starkenburg, Hesse-Darmstadt.1
