King Rudolf I (of the Germans)

King Rudolf I (of the Germans) was born on 1 May 1218 at Schloss Limburg, A.d. Rh., Freiburg, Baden.¹ He was the son of Count Albrecht IV (of Habsburg) and Countess Hedwige (of Kyburg).¹ King Rudolf I (of the Germans) married Countess Gertrude (of Hohenberg), daughter of Count Burkhard III (of Hohenberg) and Countess Mathilde (of Tubingen), in January 1245.¹ King Rudolf I (of the Germans) died on 15 July 1291 in Oberpfalz, Bavaria, at age 73.¹ He was buried in 1291 in Oberpfalz, Bavaria.¹
