President Milard Filmore was born on 7 January 1800 in Locke, New York.¹ He was the son of Nathaniel Fillmore and Phoebe Millard.¹ President Milard Filmore married Abigail Powers.¹ President Milard Filmore married Caroline C McIntosh.¹ President Milard Filmore died on 8 March 1874 in Buffalo, New York, at age 74.¹
Milard's mother Phoebe Millard died in 1831.¹ President Milard Filmore became Vice President of the United States under President Zachary Taylor on 4 March 1849 replacing Vice President Geoge M. Dallas. Was never elected to office. Succeeded Zachary Taylor upon his death in 1850. Ran again unsuccessfully for the presidency in 1856.¹ President Milard Filmore became President of the United States on 10 July 1850 replacing President Zachary Taylor. President Milard Filmore became a widower with the death of his wife, Abigail Powers in 1853.¹
President Milard Filmore was replaced as President of the United States by President Franklin Pierce on 4 March 1853.
