shepherds (Luke 2)1

     An Angel of the LORD (Bible) appeared to the shepherds (Luke 2) that were living in the fields near Bethleham and announced the birth of Jesus (NT). The shepherds then went off and found Joseph (Gospel) and Mary (Gospel) with Jesus (NT) lying in the manger. They spread the word of what they had seen and heard, and all were amazed at this.2
