     King Louis IX "St Louis" (of France) was born on 25 April 1215 in Poissy, France.1 He was the son of King Louis VIII "the Lion" (of France) and Princess Blanche (of Castile).1 King Louis IX "St Louis" (of France) was christened on 21 September 1215.2 He married Margaret (of Provence), daughter of Count Raymond Berenger V (IV) (of Provence & Forcalquier) and Beatrice (of Savoy), on 27 May 1234 in Sens, France; by permission of Pope Gregory IX.1 King Louis IX "St Louis" (of France) died on 25 August 1270 near Tunis, Africa, at age 55 in battle (on the Eighth Crusade.)1 He was buried at St. Denis, France.1
