     King Louis VIII "the Lion" (of France), son of King Philip II Augustus and Isabella (of Hainault and Flanders), was born on 5 September 1187 in Paris, France.1 King Louis VIII "the Lion" (of France) was the son of King Philip II Augustus and Isabella (of Hainault and Flanders).1 King Louis VIII "the Lion" (of France) married Princess Blanche (of Castile), daughter of King Alfonso VIII 'The Noble' Sanchez of Castile and Princess Eleanor (of England), on 23 May 1200 at Abbey of Port-Mort, Bapaume, near Pont-Audemer, Normandy, France.1 King Louis VIII "the Lion" (of France) died on 8 November 1226 in Montpensier-en-Auvergne, France, at age 39.1 He was buried at St. Denis, France.1
