Julia Boggs Dent

Julia Boggs Dent was born on 16 February 1826 in White Haven, St Louis, Missouri.¹ She married President Ulysses S. Grant, son of Jesse Root Grant and Hannah Simpson, on 22 August 1848 in St Louis, Missouri.¹ Julia Boggs Dent died on 14 December 1902 in Washington, DC, at age 76.¹ She was buried in Grant's Tomb, Riverside Park, New York.¹
She became the mother of Frederick Dent Grant on 30 May 1850.¹ Julia Boggs Dent became the mother of Ulysses Simpson Grant on 22 July 1852.¹ Julia Boggs Dent became the mother of Ellen (Nellie) Wrenshall Grant on 4 July 1855.¹ Julia Boggs Dent became the mother of Jesse Root Grant on 6 February 1858.¹ Julia Boggs's daughter was married at wedding of Ellen (Nellie) Wrenshall Grant and Algernon Charles Frederick Sartoris on 21 May 1874 in White House, Washington, DC.¹ Julia Boggs's son was married at wedding of Frederick Dent Grant and Ida Marie Honore on 20 October 1874 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.¹ Julia Boggs's son was married at wedding of Jesse Root Grant and Elizabeth Chapman on 30 September 1880 in San Francisco, California.¹ Julia Boggs's son was married at wedding of Ulysses Simpson Grant and (Fannie) Josephine Chaffee on 1 November 1880 in New York.¹ Julia Boggs Dent became a widow with the death of her husband, President Ulysses S. Grant on 23 July 1885 in Mount McGregor, New York, at age 63.¹
