     King James II (of Scotland) was born on 16 October 1430 in Perth, Perthshire, Scotland, to, son of King James I (of Scotland) and Joan Beaufort.2 King James II (of Scotland) was the son of King James I (of Scotland) and Joan Beaufort.1 King James II (of Scotland) married Princess Maria (Mary) (of Guelders), daughter of Duke Arnold (of Guelders) and Princess Katharina (of Kleve), on 3 July 1449 in Holyrood, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.2,1 King James II (of Scotland) died on 3 August 1460 at Roxburgh Castle, Kelso, Roxburghshire, Scotland, at age 29.2 He was buried in 1460 at Holyrood House, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.2
     He became King of Scotland in 1437 replacing King James I (of Scotland).1 James II's father King James I (of Scotland) died on 21 February 1436/37 in Perth, Perthshire, Scotland.2 James II's mother Joan Beaufort died on 15 July 1445 at Dunbar Castle, Dunbar, East Lothian, Scotland.2 King James II (of Scotland) became the father of King James III (of Scotland) on 10 July 1451.2 King James II (of Scotland) became the father of Mary (?) before 16 May 1452.2 King James II (of Scotland) became the father of Prince Alexander (of Scotland) in 1454.2 King James II (of Scotland) became the father of Prince David (of Scotland) circa 1456.2 James II's son Prince David (of Scotland) died on 18 July 1457.2 King James II (of Scotland) became the father of Princess Margaret (Cecilia) (of Scotland) circa 1459.2 King James II (of Scotland) was replaced as King of Scotland by King James III (of Scotland) in 1460.1
