     Matilda of Brabant married Prine Robert I of France, son of King Louis VIII "the Lion" (of France) and Princess Blanche (of Castile), on 14 June 1237.1 Matilda of Brabant died on 29 September 1299.1
     She became the mother of Blanche (of Artois) circa 1248.1 Matilda of Brabant became a widow with the death of her husband, Prine Robert I of France on 9 February 1250 Mansoure, Egypt, at age 33.1
