Matilda of Brabant was the daughter of Duke Hennry II of Brabant and Lorraine and Princess Maria von Hohenstaufen.1 Matilda of Brabant married Prine Robert I of France, son of King Louis VIII "the Lion" (of France) and Princess Blanche (of Castile), on 14 June 1237.1 Matilda of Brabant died on 29 September 1299.1 She was buried Chercamp, Artios.1
Matilda's mother Princess Maria von Hohenstaufen died in 1235.1 Matilda of Brabant became the mother of Blanche (of Artois) about 1248.1 Matilda's father Duke Hennry II of Brabant and Lorraine died on 1 February 1248 Louvain.1 Matilda of Brabant became a widow with the death of her husband, Prine Robert I of France on 9 February 1250 Mansoure, Egypt, at age 33.1
