     Desire Doty, daughter of Pilgrim Edward Doty and Faith Clarke, was born between 1645 and 1646.2 Desire Doty was the daughter of Pilgrim Edward Doty and Faith Clarke. Desire Doty married third Alexander Standish, son of Captain Myles Standish and Barbara (?), circa 1686.1,3 Desire Doty married first William Sherman, son of William Sherman, on 25 December 1667 in Marshfield, (now Plymouth County), New Plymouth Colony.4 Desire Doty married second Israel Holmes on 24 November 1681 in Marshfield, (now Plymouth County), New Plymouth Colony.3 Desire Doty died on 22 January 1731 in Marshfield, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.3
     Desire's father Pilgrim Edward Doty died on 23 August 1655 in Plymouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.5 Desire Doty became the mother of Experience Sherman on 22 September 1678.6 Desire Doty became the mother of Thomas Standish in 1687.7 Desire Doty became the mother of Desire Standish in 1689.7
