Desire Doty was born between 1645 and 1646.2 She was the daughter of Pilgrim Edward Doty and Faith Clarke. Desire Doty married third Alexander Standish, son of Captain Myles Standish and Barbara (?), about 1686.1,3 Desire Doty married first William Sherman, son of William Sherman, on 25 December 1667 in Marshfield, (now Plymouth County), New Plymouth Colony.4 Desire Doty married second Israel Holmes on 24 November 1681 in Marshfield, (now Plymouth County), New Plymouth Colony.3 Desire Doty died on 22 January 1731 in Marshfield, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.3
