George (of Brunswick)

George (of Brunswick) was born on 17 February 1582 in Celle, Hannover, Prussia.¹ He was the son of Duke Wilhelm (of Brunswick-Luneburg) and Princess Dorothea (of Denmark).¹ George (of Brunswick) was christened on 20 March 1582 in Celle, Hannover, Prussia.¹ He married Princess Anna Eleonore (of Hesse-Darmstadt), daughter of Landgrave Ludwig V 'The Faithful' (of Hesse-Darmstadt) and Magdalene Margravine (of Brandenburg), on 14 December 1617 in Darmstadt, Starkenburg, Hesse-Darmstadt.¹ George (of Brunswick) died on 2 April 1641 in Hildesheim, Hannover, Prussia, at age 59.¹ He was buried in Stadtkirche, Celle, Hannover, Prussia.¹
