     Adam Mott was born on 14 June 1813.1 He was the son of Henry Mott and Temperance Hicks.1 Adam Mott married first Mary J. Powell, daughter of John W. Powell and Sarah (?), on 24 May 1837 in Westbury, New York.1 Adam Mott married Margaret Tinucane between 1878 and 1879.1,2 Adam Mott died on 20 May 1881 at age 67. He was buried in Manhasset, New York.1
     He met for worship at at Westbury Monthly Meeting, Westbury, New York.1 He became a widower with the death of his wife, Mary J. Powell on 22 July 1877.1
