     Capt Samuel Alden was born circa 1689 in Duxbury, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.1 He was the son of David Alden and Mary Southworth.3 Capt Samuel Alden married Sarah Sprague, daughter of Samuel Sprague and Bethiah Thomas, on 26 February 1727/28.4 Capt Samuel Alden died on 24 February 1781 in Duxbury, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.4
