Essex, on 16 April 1605 in Great Stambridge, Essex, England.2 Governor John Winthrop married second Thomasine Clopton, daughter of William Clopton of Castleins, near Groton, on 6 December 1615 in Groton, England.2 Governor John Winthrop married third Margaret Tyndale, daughter of Sir John Tyndale of Great Maplested, Essex, on 29 April 1618 in Great Maplestead, Essex, England.2 Governor John Winthrop married forth Martha Rainsborough, daughter of William Rainsborough, after 20 December 1647.2 Governor John Winthrop died on 26 March 1649 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts Bay Colony, at age 61 survived by Martha Rainsborough.2
