     King Richard (of the Romans) was born on 5 January 1209 in Winchester, Hampshire, England.2 He was the son of King John "Lackland" (of England) and Isabella (of Angoulême).1 King Richard (of the Romans) died on 2 April 1272 in Berkhampsted, Berkhampsted, Hertfordshire, England, at age 63.2 He was buried on 13 April 1272 at Hailes Abbey, Hailes, Gloucestershire, England.2
      King Richard (of the Romans) was also known as Prince Richard (of England).2 Richard's father King John "Lackland" (of England) died on 19 October 1216 in Newark, Nottinghamshire, England.3 Richard's mother Isabella (of Angoulême) died on 31 May 1246 at Fontevrault Abbey, Fontevrault, Maine-Et-Loire, France.4,3,2 King Richard (of the Romans) was titled King of the Romans (Richard) in 1256.1 He became King of the Romans in 1256.5
