Robert I and IV
     Rupert von Wittelsbach was born on 18 May 1869.1 He was the son of King Ludwig III (of Bavaria) and Marie Theresia Henrietta Dorothea von Habsburg-Lothringen.1 Rupert von Wittelsbach married first Duchess Marie Gabriele (?), daughter of Duke Karl Theodor (in Bavaria) and Infanta Marie Josepha (of Portugal), on 10 July 1900 at Allerheiligenhofkirche, Munich, Bavaria, (now Germany).2 Rupert von Wittelsbach married second Princess Antonia (of Luxemburg), daughter of Grand Duke Wilhelm (of Luxemburg) and Infanta Maria Anna (of Portugal), on 7 April 1921 in Parish Church of St. James, Lenggries, Bavaria, Germany.3 Rupert von Wittelsbach died on 2 August 1955 at Schloss Leutstetten, Leutstetten, Bavaria, Germany, at age 86.1
     Rupert von Wittelsbach was also known as King Robert I and IV (of England).3 Rupert von Wittelsbach was also known as Rupprecht Maria Luitpold Ferdinand von Wittelsbach.2 He was titled Prince of Bavaria (Rupert). He became a widower with the death of his wife, Duchess Marie Gabriele (?) on 24 October 1912 in Sorrento, Italy, at age 34.2 Rupert von Wittelsbach was titled Jacobite King of England (Robert I and IV) on 3 February 1919.2 He became Jacobite King of England on 3 February 1919 replacing Marie Theresia Henrietta Dorothea von Habsburg-Lothringen.2 Rupert von Wittelsbach was titled King of Bavaria (Rupprecht) on 18 October 1921.2 He became a widower with the death of his wife, Princess Antonia (of Luxemburg) on 31 July 1954 in Lenzerheilde, Switzerland, at age 54.3 Rupert von Wittelsbach was replaced as Jacobite King of England by Albert von Wittelsbach on 2 August 1955.4
