     Dorcas Hicks was born on 14 February 1649/50 in Plymouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.1 She was the daughter of Samuel Hicks and Lydia Doane.2 Dorcas Hicks married Edmund Sherman, son of Philip Sherman and Sarah Odding, before 1674.2 Dorcas Hicks died between 1700 and 1745.1
