     Princess Sofie (of Saxe) was born on 30 May 1697 in Gotha, Sachsen-Coburg-Gotha, Thuringia.1 She was the daughter of Frederick II (of Saxe-Gotha) and Princess Magdalene Auguste (of Anhalt).1 Princess Sofie (of Saxe) died on 29 November 1703 at age 6.1
