     Count Ludwig (of Birkenfeld) was born on 26 November 1669 in Bischwiller, Bas-Rhin, Prussia.1 He was the son of Count Palatine Christian II (of Birkenfeld) and Countess Katharine Agathe (of Rappoltstein).1 Count Ludwig (of Birkenfeld) died on 2 April 1670.1
