Hugh Underhill married Katherine Manning, daughter of George Manning and Joan Walles.3 Hugh Underhill died circa January 1593 survived by Katherine Manning.3

Underhill after 18 October 1562.7 Hugh Underhill was appointed to the office of keeper of the wardrobe within the manor of Greenwich, Kent, to Queen Elizabeth I Tudor on 6 February 1563 replacing Thomas Mayneman.7 Hugh Underhill and Katherine Manning in 1590 were appointed by Queen Elizabeth to the office of keeper of our garden (commonly called the Queen's Garden) in the manor of East Greenwich, Kent.7 Hugh Underhill left a will on 1 January 1592/93 administrated by George Underhill and Katherine Manning with heirs Hugh Underhill.3
