     Duchess Elisabeth Magdalene (of Württemberg-Montbeliard) was born on 23 April 1600 in Darmstadt, Starkenburg, Hesse-Darmstadt.1 She was the daughter of Landgrave Ludwig V 'The Faithful' (of Hesse-Darmstadt) and Magdalene Margravine (of Brandenburg).1 Duchess Elisabeth Magdalene (of Württemberg-Montbeliard) was christened on 21 May 1600 in Darmstadt, Starkenburg, Hesse-Darmstadt.1 She died on 9 June 1624 in Montbbeliard, Doubs, France, at age 24.1 She was buried on 13 July 1624 at Castle Church, Montbbeliard, Doubs, France.1
     Elisabeth Magdalene's mother Magdalene Margravine (of Brandenburg) died on 14 May 1616 in Darmstadt, Starkenburg, Hesse-Darmstadt.1
