President Franklin Pierce was born on 23 November 1804 in Hillsboro, New Hampshire.1 He was the son of Benjamin Pierce and Anna Kendrick.1 President Franklin Pierce married Jane Means Appleton on 19 November 1834 in Amherst, New Hampshire.1 President Franklin Pierce died on 8 October 1869 in Concord, New Hampshire, at age 64.1 He was buried at North Cemetary, Concord, New Hampshire.1
Won the 1852 election over Winfield Scott by a popular vote of 1,601,117 to 1,385,453 and an electoral vote of 254 to 42. William R. King was his vice- president. Was the only president to complete his term without making any changes in his Cabinet.1 He became President of the United States on 4 March 1853 replacing President Milard Filmore. President Franklin Pierce was over Vice President William R. King as Vice President of the United States on 4 March 1853. President Franklin Pierce was replaced as President of the United States by President James Buchanan on 4 March 1857.
