King Ernest Augustus I (of Hanover) was born on 5 June 1771 in Buckingham, London, England.1 He was the son of King George III Hanover of England and Sophia Charlotte (of Mecklenburg-Strelitz).2 King Ernest Augustus I (of Hanover) married Sophia Hanover, daughter of King George III Hanover of England and Sophia Charlotte (of Mecklenburg-Strelitz).1 King Ernest Augustus I (of Hanover) died on 18 November 1851 in Herrenhausen at age 80.1 He was buried in Herrenhausen.1
