King Alexander III (of Scotland) was born on 4 September 1241 in Roxburgh, Roxburghshire, Scotland.2 He was the son of King Alexander II (of Scotland) and Marie De Coucy.1 King Alexander III (of Scotland) married first Margaret (?), daughter of King Henry III (of England) and Queen Eleanor (of Provence), on 26 December 1251 in York, Yorkshire, England.2 King Alexander III (of Scotland) married second Yolande De Dreux, daughter of Count Robert IV (of Dreux) and Bbeatrix De Montfort, on 14 October 1285 in Jedburgh, Roxburghshire, Scotland.2,1 King Alexander III (of Scotland) died on 19 March 1285/86 in Kinghorn, Fifeshire, Scotland, at age 44.2 He was buried on 29 March 1286 in Dunfermline, Fifeshire, Scotland.2
